Dr. Spencer U. ObieThe ‘hands-on’ approach to eye care is led by Dr. Spencer Obie who received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Houston and later completed his Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) at the University of Houston College of Optometry. During his career there he was involved in research on the Temporal Impulse Response Function (TIRF), an effort to further explain the components of dynamic vision. He also received further training at Randolph Airforce Base and a tertiary-care ophthalmological practice in the Texas Medical Center. It was at Randolph Airforce Base where he gained experience with treating a unique population with considerable dry eye disease, ocular allergy and a high number of patients undergoing laser refractive surgery. At the tertiary-care ophthalmological practice, he gained valuable insight into treating and managing the gravest of ocular diseases. Dr. Obie has practiced in a number of settings often simultaneously including running his own practice in West Texas while maintaining HandS On EyeCare here in Houston.
Dr. Terry S. GlasserDr. Terry Glasser's 37 years of experience adds a seasoned touch to the 'hands-on' approach. He received his B.S. in Marine Biology from the prestigious University of Miami. He completed his doctorate of optometry (O.D.) from the University of Houston where he later taught while running his private practice in Northwest Houston which would later become HandS On EyeCare. He has always been able to stay on the "cutting edge" of optometry while staying grounded in the art and skill of optometry. Dr. Glasser has left a lasting impression on his patients and the city of Houston.
